About Me

I have been drawing ever since I can remember. I grew up with horses and dogs, and spent hours drawing them. When I went off to the College of William and Mary, I double-majored in Economics and Fine Arts, in the hopes of somehow combining those two disciplines. My first job was in the Display Advertising department of a newspaper, where I sold and laid out advertisements. My life has taken several twists and turns, which ultimately led me out of the art business, but I couldn't stop producing art. I've taken many drawing and painting classes through the years, and have sold my art in the form of greeting cards, wood pieces, murals, and even face painting! In recent years I went back to college to earn another degree in graphic design, and I work part-time for a graphic design firm. However, in my spare time I have enjoyed using pastels to capture the likenesses of my friends' pets, so I'm back to drawing animals! I would love to draw your pet as well, so please contact me to discuss capturing your pet's personality in a portrait!
